Established in 2003, Stars of Africa is a black owned and managed Football Academy. Stars of Africa Football Academy was founded by a group of passionate Football loving entrepreneurs brought together by their common desire to develop the players of tomorrow “The Stars of Africa”.
The Directors of Stars of Africa are:
Farouk Khan, Nadiem Mahmood and Wasiela Omar. This young dynamic team have a wealth of technical, management and marketing expertise/ experience in the field of football development. The full staff compliment of Stars of Africa Football Academy includes coaches, goalkeeper coach, physical trainer, house father, cleaning personnel, driver and chef whose demographics represent the broad South Africa society.

Night of stars
The Stars of Africa Football Academy hosted a dinner in Johannesburg with the guest of honour being Henrik Larsson .The night began with a lecture by Coach Farouk Khan addressing youth development and its importance in the training of future football stars. Thereafter a member of FIFA Professor Dr Espezim Neto spoke about the importance of sponsors to the development of African football. The closing was entertainingwith the great European player Henrik Larsson. He participated in a fun interview with the journalist Walter Mokoena from SABC TV.
In farewell, Larsson was presented by the director of the academy, Nadime Mahmood with a piece of African art and a South African shirt.
